Your Week Ahead: March 24 to 30, 2024 – The Magic Pumpkin

When once, things were cloudy and unclear, the day becomes more assured. A fog seems to be lifting this week on some personal matter and we get to enjoy a more direct connection to our desire and how we want to create from that vantage point. We can get lost in the details and lose touch with the bigger picture when we are very involved in things close to us. Very often, we get sidetracked by someone or something else that has a bit more governance over us. This week gives us a chance to sort things out on a personal level and feel a bit more at home within ourselves.

The card of new energy, new impetus and desire opens this week’s reading: the Ace of Wands. This is the energy of a seed breaking through the tough ground and wanting to embark on its purpose to become something, an oak tree for instance. What one wants and what one draws to it in order to make that breakthrough happen is very much this card’s message.

Here, we see a fairy pointing her magic wand towards a pumpkin, while a poor maiden waits for her miracle. There is a lot of potential now to manifest a path that will yield many results. It’s important to allow the rawness of this energy to express itself within some structure so that it’s guided and not wasted.

A lot of information is contained within our desires and often we don’t tap into it effectively because of certain chronic beliefs. We can easily shut things down because of a laundry list of reasons we think something is not possible or that we’re not going to succeed. Human beings are very good at self-sabotage. If a new zest for life arises and we find that something lights up for us, give it space to breathe so that it shines and delivers its message.

An ace always opens up a new pathway. What better card to cultivate that initiative than the Queen of Swords. She is the personification of authority and wisdom that is at peace with herself and her past. In other words, she doesn’t allow her previous experiences to continue their paradigm influence. She shows the way forward with grace and ease. There is nothing to force, and nothing to battle against. She is quiet and subtle in strategy, not to skirt away in passive aggressiveness but to understand how to maintain mental peace through skillful means.

What we may learn from her is to be comfortable with ourselves. That can be a hard task these days given the multitude of expectations thrust upon our psyche through social media and the marketing machine run rampant. Yet she offers an affirming hand and shows us how we can remain true to ourselves and what we want. In our imperfection lies our greatest potential. If we are a rough diamond, then walking our path of polishing that diamond gives us many abilities to show our unique voice in the world. She also shows us the value of proper timing and enjoying the idea that great things come in time, with our loving attention and with patience.

Within this mindset, we feel inspired to act on something. The Knight of Cups is on a crusade of love and what love brings to the world. Knights represent an active part of us, a quest and a mission. When we keep our hearts open, our creativity flourishes. He seems to suggest that we act upon what we love and what keeps us connected to our paths and to others. In this way, we enrich our lives by the openness he exemplifies.

There maybe a creative aspect of our lives that needs to be expressed. Is something dormant that needs a voice? How do we feel when that part of us comes out, and how do others feel around us when we are more connected with ourselves. Are we inspired and do we then inspire? Isn’t it amazing how a little seed, so powerful, gathers so much momentum to influence so beautifully the world around us?

Affirmation: I am a loving contributor to the world and I participate in the gifts so abundantly available to me. A path of growth and of inspired action opens up for me and I get to step into that unfolding world so that I can realize more of who I am.

Thanks for reading, and I wish you a wonderful week!
