Your Week Ahead: February 24 to March 2, 2025 – Without Conditions

6 of Pentacles, The Empress, and 5 of Swords, from the Erenberg Tarot deck.

Generosity is like a fertile ground. It is the seed we plant, the energy we give, and the cycle of abundance we engage with. We participate in the exchange of energy, both giving and receiving. What we receive may give us the opportunity to share of ourselves later. What we give has a way of coming back to us. If we can keep our motivation pure and free from conditions, then we remove our expectations from others.

We don’t want to feel like we are dependant on others for our survival. A healthy motivation in the receiving of anything would be to consider how we can become more sustainable and steer ourselves back to contribution. As well, we shouldn’t feel like we are playing a role so that others can’t find their way to an abundant mindset.

We may, at times, be on the giving or receiving side of the equation. However, the balance comes in understanding and honouring the exchange so that we don’t stay predominantly on one side. The 6 of Pentacles describes the act of generosity. We may help someone in need or we may receive something that helps us out in our situation.

We can enter into some kind of relationship but it will be important to be aware of the balance within it. This can mean not staying in the identity of either the less fortunate one who always needs help or the more fortunate one who always gives. The 6 of Pentacles is a helpful card but there is a subtle message about the dynamics between the giver and the receiver. It can describe getting what we need, but not more than we think we deserve. Or, it may show one who gives from what he won’t miss. There is nothing inherently wrong with either of these, it is simply a measured exchange of energy.

Stepping into that exchange can get the movement of growth flowing once again. The Empress represents fertility and the harvest. Having followed the 6 of Pentacles, it could show how we are able to start standing on our own again and to feel productive. This will help us to have some value as we rekindle our self-worth.

When we feel good about ourselves, we invite opportunities to share it with others. People come to us and we can offer our gifts in the market to be sold. If we are giving something, keeping ourselves connected to abundance and the cycle of energetic growth will help that cycle continue. If not, we may face burnout and loss both materially and emotionally.

Being mindful in any exchange will help us to know when something gets out of balance. If certain conditions are present, we may want to act out if we felt hard done by. The 5 of Swords shows how energy is abused. It can portray someone exuding too much influence or energy over us. In some cases, it may even represent our attempts to dominate others.

Here, someone may want to get the upper hand. If we are accountable to someone, it may feel like they have won something over us. If we start to feel assertive and more energetic, we may want to set the record straight with others. This can have us wanting to take control of a situation where previously we felt out of control.

This week’s reading shows us the importance of balance, the respectful giving and receiving of energy or help, and to maintain a healthy expression of that balance. If we give, we should do so freely and without expectation. If we receive, we should accept graciously with the intent to be productive while not becoming overly accountable to others. If there is any imbalance in a relationship with someone, it is appropriate to consider our role within it.

As they say, “hurt people hurt people.” So, then it is true that loving people love people, rich people enrich people, and healthy people nourish people. May we always be loving in our wealth and in our health.

Affirmation: I appreciate the assistance I now receive. The universe shows up for me and guides me to my more sustainable future. I enjoy the exchanges I have with others and feel good about giving others what they need. Energy flows through me easily and I always have more than enough. I give freely without conditions; I receive freely and graciously.

Thanks for reading, and I wish you a wonderful week!
