Your Week Ahead: October 15 to 21, 2023 – The Seed, The Ravens, and The Lion

Dear Readers, it has been some many weeks since I last wrote my weekly reading. I hope you all had a wonderful summer and had time to come into contact with a deep part of yourself in however way you felt inspired to do so. My break gave me a sense of refreshment and healthy distance so that I may come back to things with more clarity.

To be completely honest, my work has been physically demanding on me. I needed to shift things around so that these posts continue to feel inspired and don’t become burdensome. I had to reinvent my career since January 2022, moving from an Arts Administrator to a Home builder and General Contractor. Being creative has become much more assertive and physical in contrast to my more introverted previous lifestyle. However, life moves in ways I can’t control or predict, and surrendering to that momentum of crazy wisdom actually expanded my horizons and opened many wonderful opportunities.

So many doors closed in 2021 that left my head spinning. So many people vanished from my life almost overnight. I lost so much only to have gained infinitely more. Those people that were important in my life, supported me and showed up for me immensely, despite my anxiety and depression. Those who couldn’t or wouldn’t, it’s not important really; that’s life. It only revealed what was already there, what I needed to see. The Universe provided everything and more, and I cannot adequately express in words my deep appreciation.

Since my creative expression is very important to me, I knew that I wanted to resume these posts. The New Moon Solar Eclipse felt like an opportune time to do this. As always, I sincerely hope anything I write is of value to you and helps to bring about a little clarity in whatever endeavour you are undertaking.

In the coming weeks for me personally, I will celebrate 50 years around the Sun, and 10 years with a beautiful woman with a beautiful heart. To her and to my loving, wise Mom I say, thank you for everything. The best is yet to come!

The cards for this week’s reading describe a recalibration and recentering of one’s energy. One cannot truly know how to act if we are cluttered or clogged by too much activity or interaction. We need personal space to purify our minds and calm the winds blowing around in our psychic body.

The Queen of Pentacles knows so well how to ground one’s self into the earth and provide a nourishing state of inner connectedness. Her environment is aligned with the cycle of the seasons and of the harvest. She is the embodiment of the seed and to ripened food, of knowing our proper timing, and the value of restoration or decomposition.

As the Prince of Swords emerges from this womb-like state, he feels more discerning even amidst so many unknowables. Like a young person in an adult world, he makes good solid attempts at expressing his insights. However, his premise is still more curious, which allows him the ability to be more creative and flexible than his adult counterparts. Why rush into a committed stance when there is still so much to learn, especially from our secret helpers Hugin and Munin of Odin’s shoulders. Still, his confidence is striking.

The time for his courage and self confidence seems to arrive with the 7 of Wands. This is a moment where he (we) shine and show our ability. The lion within us finds a beautiful voice, one that has matured and ripened with wise knowing. It is a “know thyself” moment. Here, we are not proving anything to anyone; we simply are ourselves showing our radiance. It is a moment that has its roots in the deep fertile grounds of the Queen of Pentacles and The Empress, of which she is a steward.

This week, there will be a sense of earned ability and mature expression of our value. You will take up the torch and feel your purpose with greater clarity than of recent times. Regardless if people notice or not, you are a torch. You are the fire and the warmth of authenticity. Let this integrity create your future and light your path ahead.

Affirmation: I am a seed of wonderful potential. I take time now to find my rhythm and balance with the earth. There is no need to rush. All that I must do will present itself in its beautiful time. When it is mine, I will know. I will be there.
