When we are consumed in our desire, our focus becomes transformative. We can enter a realm all our own and feel genuinely happy about the flow of energy we are co-creating with. It’s a dance of give and take; we put forth energy and we are taken to new and deeper aspects of that energy. We create a world for ourselves to produce something, and that creativity has a kind of leading edge perspective.
What we take with us and contribute to that interplay will have a lot of influence in how we continue certain patterns or paradigms. We can’t always close the door on our past. However, we can choose to bring the best of it. By doing so, we de-emphasize what previously held us back and understand that the moment we live in is now.
We can often feel inspired to see things differently when we have made peace with the past and who we were. We don’t need to think that we are continuously being defined by challenging circumstances in order to progress. The sensation that I have to “get it right” misses the point. Making the shift to being more productive by taking small steps toward what pulls on your heart, or what you do well, or what pleases you, is enough to get you into an energetic environment that shifts your perspective and lightens your load.
As the 6 of Swords opens this week’s reading, we are in calmer seas, moving away from some uncomfortable situation. To say it even better, we are moving toward something more clear and perhaps safe. Safety can be a mindset, just as clarity feels lighter and brighter. We take with us what is valuable and who is close to our heart. The flow of the sea glides and guides us on a current of providence.
Before we know it, we find ourselves much more creative and productive. The 8 of Coins is the central focus here with the Potter’s wheel acting like a kind of wheel of fortune, creating new momentum and channeling a vortex of energy. This opens up a very interesting situation.
Much like a Whirling Dervish, we are caught in a meditative spin, highly connected to Source. This pulls us up as well as down. We get stretched like a connective string with one end in the unseen multidimensional space of pure positive energy, and the other deep within our core.
Between these two polarities lies the ability to ground down through us into the material world new things, ideas and areas of involvement. Just as the man and and child are pulled toward the 8 of Coins, so too the woman, or siren, is pulled toward its wheel as she points to it.
Within the inherent meaning of The Hanged Man (or Woman in this case), we are seeing things from a different vantage point. Everything is upside down. If you’ve ever laid down on your bed and allowed your head to hang off the edge, you will notice how much stranger the room feels. It is about stepping outside what we normally perceive in order to gain wisdom about that perception.
If we continuously see things one way, as the ego would highly prefer it, then we confine ourselves to stagnation. It’s a state that clings to what it knows and hides from us what is unknown. When we close off our psyche in this way, we head down a very cramped and intolerant existence where we overly identify with our labels and hyperactively seek out approval for our attitude.
If we instead surrender to what we are shown and allow ourselves to be changed by the experience, then we will prepare ourselves for the renewal of life force to take us past what our ego thought only possible. We move from possibility to actuality.
The Universe is showing you something new this week, something you are capable of doing very well but perhaps just need to see things from a different angle, height or depth. Whatever takes place, this is an energetic shift that is making you feel more productive and more creative. See what visions come up. Don’t be afraid to see yourself or your situation a little differently. If you allow some light in, who knows what worlds you will discover.
Affirmation: This is a time of creative change. I look forward to appreciating something new about myself. I know I feel able to do what I love and I let that desire come to the forefront as I reach out to Source for the parts I don’t know about yet. I surrender myself to this process and to this transformative time.
Thanks for reading, and I wish you a wonderful week!
