Your Week Ahead: April 7 to 13, 2024 – Sun and Moon, A Hundred Times

And now, the moment arrives, a point in space and time that intersect with our dreams and visions. We are invited to see a glimpse of ourselves and our brief time here in this physical body and our reality, and see it – or feel it – within the backdrop of something cosmic. It’s subtle and magical. It unfolds like a large warm blanket full of symbols and messages.

There is something tangible in the air. We look up at the sun and moon a hundred times. Yet, now they come together in a beautiful dance of union. Their paths along the sky meet along the powerful lunar nodes, a powerful intersection of energy. We are experiencing a blessing that raises our consciousness and allows for meaningful shifts to occur. Some of these will happen quite quickly and some will take place slowly over time.

It wouldn’t be correct to expect grand changes, nor to put any pressure on ourselves for getting it right. This is a moment to simply be at ease, to relax and surrender, to connect with ourselves, and to feel our purpose. Even if we have no clue what our purpose is, to feel purposeful would be enough. That means to appreciate who we are, what we have, and what we’ve achieved so far. For just a moment, feel at peace with everything, and feel the warm hand of Source upon our hearts, that palm of gentle reassurance.

When I pulled the cards for this week’s reading, I literally said, “wow” when I saw the 10 of Coins. Is that a Solar Eclipse in the background?! Well, the card’s description says it’s a sliver of the moon, but jeeze, it could definitely pass for an eclipse! In any case, we can pretend.

This is a card that describes the magic that surrounds us always. We have abundance in our lives and we are blessed with many wonderful things. This is so much so that we may actually not even notice it. Thus, this card’s meaning leans toward actually being aware of those things and to appreciate those people and circumstances that support us.

Flowers surround the embracing couple in their home. There is alignment here, and to give thanks for this means to take ourselves out of that space and into the sublime. When we are not attached out of fear of losing what we have, we become free to experience things for what they are and how they flow into our lives. Everything becomes a gift; everything becomes meaningful.

With every moment of alignment, there is inevitably a time for integration. The 5 of Coins here represents coming off of this higher state and allowing ourselves time to digest the energy. There maybe the sensation that we are back in the world and feeling off as though we are disconnected. The wrong way to think about this would be to suggest that nothing is taking place. We can soothe this by knowing things move in small steps. Continuing to warm our intentions by believing in ourselves is key here. A momentary setback is simply a short term perspective that we would do best to be patient with.

Within that element of patience is really the path back to our centre. We can’t always be in a cosmic state of mind. We need to, and should, operate from an awareness that is present. Otherwise we could very well want to escape the harshness of the world and jump on an alien spaceship for the Pleiades star cluster.

The gentleness and attention of the Queen of Cups is giving us that message. She is restorative, flowing and nourishing. She is about the creativity that feeds us and cleanses us. She is showing us how we can express ourselves and our talents so that we find joy in the present moment by hearing our unique voice among the bustle of the world.

She comes off of the heels of a potent energy alignment and could be showing us how to keep going so that we are doing more of what we love, living more of what we envision, and creating more of what has opened up, even in small ways. If we cultivate this, we can truly work in partnership with the universe in developing our plans. If that is simply to make things more comfortable, then that is what is needed.

We are at a beautiful intersection between the physical and non-physical. Being aware of these two important realities and giving them a structure in which to flow is the message in this week’s reading. I would offer too that we have done a fair amount of work already leading up to this point. We will do very well to be at peace and to be present so that we can relax and enjoy the blessings that are all around us.

Affirmation: Thank you Universe, for taking care of me, and for guiding me along my path. I am open to the wonderful changes that are unfolding all around me. I am at peace.
