Your Week Ahead: November 25 to December 1, 2024 – Washing Our Mind Stream

2 of Pentacles, Ace of Cups, and 10 of Swords, from the Erenberg Tarot deck.

What do we do when we feel some limitation in our lives? How do we bring about a sense of balance and well being? What is causing our unease? These may be some of the questions coming up this week. On the surface, it feels like an interesting mix of feelings. Yet, there is a simple message here, one that can help soothe some inner tension.

When we are interacting between two elements, often we can feel pulled between them. Some examples that come to mind are, home vs work, private vs public, spending vs saving, or expressing ourselves vs being silent. We dance between two positions and generally, we feel good about it. This card isn’t about discomfort. It’s more about operating between two things that require our attention.

Within that attention, there can be some limitation since we are holding two “things” in each hand, juggling the two, or in this card’s case, balancing them on our nose with our gaze closely fixated upon them. The 2 of Pentacles asks us to balance something for the moment. It won’t last forever. It just means we need to keep our inner stability and go with the flow. Surrendering ourselves to the dance of life is about flexibility, buoyancy and trust.

This theme of “flow” comes again in our next card, the Ace of Cups. Yet here, the idea of flow is enhanced by the non-physical blessings of abundance. We give ourselves over to something supportive. This may feel like a beautiful gift, as if everything is perfectly aligned. If we have surrendered ourselves in that dance, in that juggling of life’s experience, then this card shows how we are taken care of. It also shows a deeper layer to our experience, one that is blessed by the grace of a very loving universe.

Our path is highlighted, illuminated and made easier because of the flow we have invited either consciously or unconsciously. If the 2 of Pentacles represents a dualistic limitation we find ourselves caught in, the ace shows moving outside that restriction so that, through the blessings that enter, we let all the solutions become manifest.

The 10 of Swords appears to be a contrasting card in this reading. However, it too represents the crossing over from one experience to another, and the attachments that are left behind as a result. It can represent the end of something uncomfortable, and a shift to leaving behind a mindset that felt confining.

Perhaps being too worried about being caught between two things or that we are endlessly juggling things without much time for rest is coming to a close so that we can feel the dawning of something new and peaceful. The danger with the 10 of Swords is taking things too far, too extreme. It shows those times when we go on and on about something negative; it doesn’t serve a purpose except to drain energy and create anxiety.

This card is about a shift in our interpretation of our experience so that we are not attached to a story. The Ace of Cups is offering a purifying fountain of water that washes over us and rinses our mind stream of the muck of stress and mental fatigue. It shows that unconditional love and our open hearts takes us to a place where we are comfortable and relaxed. There is so much to be thankful for, so much appreciation to be had. That is the rich soil for our future’s harvest. That is where we plant our seeds.

Affirmation: Thank you Universe for showing me what is healthy and important for me. Thank you for showing me the way forward. Let me bathe in your divine waters so that I may replenish my body, speech and mind. May I always recognize and honour your wondrous gifts and bountiful blessings.

Thanks for reading, and I wish you a wonderful week!
