Your Week Ahead: December 9 to 15, 2024 – In Our Hands

There are some clear indications of where we are headed this week, as we are being given positive impulses and signs. We want to take action and we feel both pulled and inspired by events around us. There is a kind of intersection of one’s will and of providence, and as a result, we see things from a new vantage point.

The quest we seem to be on may be about wanting to belong somewhere, wanting to ground ourselves in the richness of feeling purposeful. When we are “on purpose”, we lead by the energy of our desire for meaning. The Knight of Cups is such a searcher. He opens his heart and embarks on a journey of mystery and of devotion to the tenderness of life.

He has a loving approach and he is acutely aware of the language of Nature that comes through the birds, the wind, and the gentle purple hues of dusk. In a sense, he represents our need to be in harmony with our environment. Discords and upsets affect him more than he lets on. He is a knight after all and is expected to be tough and resilient. But he is a sensitive soul.

Gentle messages come and he is led to a pasture of ease and abundance. He finds some rest in this place and there is a sense that everything is taken care of. In the Ace of Pentacles, we can feel that grounding as the pressures of a demanding journey are put into context. We can run around aimlessly doing apparently meaningless tasks. Yet, if we can make peace with it, our lives can feel richer.

We are no longer defined by the mundane, we allow it to become our garden of life experience. Here, we meet with a higher vibration. Indeed, our integrity has brought us here. Our integrity is the linchpin to the divine. It is the point where purpose meets blessing. Through this comes about a state of grace and clarity, and it has been placed in our hands.

The dawning of a new idea is arising. There is a signal within us that is going off and we see the dots being connected within our mind. “Oh wow, I never thought of it that way! I can’t believe I’m still using these words!” The Ace of Swords pierces the veil of confusion and gets us past a boundary, past a mental block.

Perhaps what is being revealed is how our ideas and beliefs about what is possible are suddenly seen in a different light. All of a sudden, we see how previous definitions have kept us using the same keywords and phrases, like an old database regurgitating the same results. We see how we may have defaulted to these patterns of thought because we couldn’t see past them.

If the Knight of Cups is about our quest to receive or become receptive, and the Ace of Pentacles represents the new growth that we can open ourselves up to, then the Ace of Swords describes seeing the whole story about how we can do that and how we can see things differently in order to bring about a new paradigm.

This week’s reading is about getting in touch with a new story, a new language, new thoughts, and a new landscape in which to operate. Stretch yourself in a new territory and don’t let any past language that feels old and hindering get in the way of what is clearly wanting to emerge from within your psyche. This is a really good time to talk about things in a new way. Use different words, that’s all. Just make sure those words feel good. Anything that sounds heavy can be nicely left behind.

Affirmation: This is a beautiful and unique moment in my life. I have been led here by my desire to bring about something meaningful. I love how the universe gives me exactly what I need to grow and progress and I invite that clarity of purpose.
